Course Description
The course aims to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills utilizing three prominent website development platforms, namely Shopify, WordPress, and Wix, majorly in the context of e-commerce. The primary objective is to equip students with the ability to create,customize, and manage online stores using these platforms effectively. Throughout the course, participants will learn the fundamental features and functionalities of Shopify, WordPress with ecommerce plugins,and Wix ecommerce tools ( optional ). The ultimate goal is to equip students with the necessary skills establish strong online presence and effectively showcase products, services, or personal portfolios using these widely-used website development platforms.

Week 1
- Understand the historical evolution and significance of E- Commerce in modern business
- Compare and contrast the features and potential of Shopify, WordPress, and Wix as e-commerce platforms
Week 2
- Setup a domain & create a Shopify account and set up a new online store with basic information
- Explore various Shopify themes and select one based on your brand’s identity
Week 3
- Learn to navigate the Shopify dashboard, header images, customize pages, add products, add payment gateways and inventory management
- Introduction to Shopify mobile app for managing orders and tracking sales easily.
Week 4
- Install Xampp, install WordPress and set up the Woo Commerce and Elementor Pro plugin for ecommerce functionality.
Week 5
- Choose a suitable e-commerce WordPress theme that aligns with your brand and products
- Customize pages, add products, set prices, and configure payment gateways within the Woo Commerce framework.
Week 6
- Install Xampp, install WordPress and set up the Woo Commerce and Elementor Pro plugin for ecommerce functionality

- Utilize plugins and compressed images site to enhance your site’s performance, security, and search engine optimization.
Week 8
- Set up a new Wix site with ecommerce capabilities, including product categories
- Understand Wix’s drag-and-drop editor and how to add, manage, and organize products.
Week 9
- Dive deeper into payment gateway options for each platform and understand transaction processes
- Learn best practices to secure customer data and maintain PCI compliance

- Understand the basics of on page and technical SEO and its importance in driving organic traffic to your online store
- Implement SEO techniques specific to each platform, such as optimizing product descriptions and metadata.
Week 11
- Explore various marketing strategies, including email marketing, WhatsApp marketing, social media integration, and content marketing
- Learn to leverage platform-specific marketing features to reach a wider audience.

- Set up and interpret analytics tools to track website performance, user behavior, and sales
